The Lord hath done great things for us;
whereof we are glad.
We’re Dan and Connie Lindsey, new missionaries to Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia, Africa.
We were married in 1979 at Ottumwa Baptist Temple in Ottumwa, Iowa. Connie was saved there at the age of 11. I trusted Christ as my Savior at the age of 17.
I have been a Pastor for almost 40 years. Connie loves singing godly music, writing Bible studies, and ministering to children and women.
I pastored three independent Baptist Churches, one in Ocean Shores, Washington, one in Mark/Bloomfield, Iowa, and one in Sauk City, Wisconsin. In each situation, God blessed, and we were able to see debt-free building programs.
Our first child, Stacie was born with cerebral palsy. Because of brain damage, she was never able to walk or talk. My wife gave countless hours to her constant care. When Stacie was 14, she went to be with Christ. The Lord gave us His sufficient grace to cope with her life and her death.
God blessed our home with three other children: Heidi, Joshua, and Amber. It is wonderful to know that all our children are believers in Jesus Christ, and desire to serve Him.
Heidi is married to Daniel Lentz, a graduate of Baptist College of Ministry’s seminary at Falls Baptist Church in Menonomee Falls, Wisconsin. For the past couple years Daniel served as Assistant Pastor at our church in Wisconsin. He taught the teen class, led all the music, and did a great job as choir director. Heidi served with her husband, and was involved in many outreach ministries, including music and women’s ministry. Daniel and Heidi are moving to Indiana, and will be serving Christ there.
Joshua is married to Heather, and they have two children, Joanna and Joshua Jr. Joshua serves as station manager at Heaven 88:7 FM, and as Administrative Assistant at Master’s Baptist College, a ministry of Fargo Baptist Church.
Our youngest daughter, Amber, is completing her first year at Master’s Baptist College, and is excited about God’s will for her life.
A few months ago Pastor Brian Weiss, along with my son, Joshua, and others went to Liberia on a missions survey trip. They checked out some property that has been given for a radio station tower. They spoke about Christ in churches, schools, and on the streets of Monrovia. They also held meetings with missionaries already in Liberia to discuss the need for reaching Liberia with the glorious gospel of Christ. The response they received was overwhelming, with many requests for the gospel, Bible literature, and for people to come and help in the ministry there.
After viewing a video of that survey trip, our hearts were burdened, and my wife and I decided to volunteer to be part of the missions team to go back to Liberia.
On December 3rd of 2019 we met with Pastor Scheving and Pastor Weiss at Fargo Baptist Church about the possibility of us being part of the ministry team to Liberia. Connie and I were glad to be accepted.
Pastor Weiss of Fargo Baptist Church, his wife and six children, went to Liberia in February 2020, and are the “forerunners” for the rest of the team.
Our sending church will be Fargo Baptist Church. Our plan is to serve there for several months during a time of transition, preparation, and deputation. Then we will move to Liberia, Lord willing, in late July. Others will join the team as God leads and provides. Please see “Mission Team Goals” on our home page for information on what our vision is for the Liberian mission.
We ask for your prayers — prayers for wisdom, courage, provision, health, and strength to do the will of God.
